AccuLift RF: Skin Tightening + Liposuction for the Neck near Jackson, MS
Age, weight fluctuations, and genetics are the primary reasons people develop the dreaded double chin. As we age, the skin produces fewer structural proteins—primarily collagen and elastin—which causes the extra skin to sag and accumulate in certain places on the face, such as under the eyes and on the neck. Weight loss or gain can also contribute to accumulated or leftover stubborn fat deposits along your jawline and beneath your chin. A double chin, known as “submental fat” among facial plastic surgeons, is one of the most common reasons people seek cosmetic surgery and related treatments.
According to a recent survey conducted by the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, more than 2/3 of the people surveyed reported being bothered by fat beneath their chin. Some people consider Kybella® injections in the neck and chin, but this treatment can’t address excessive fat and loose skin in the same way as surgery.
Removal of a double chin can be achieved in a variety of ways with facial plastic surgery, and we’re pleased to offer AccuLift RF, a new form of liposuction + skin tightening that’s quick, minimally invasive, and has much less downtime than a complete facelift procedure. It’s a way to eliminate submental fat while also helping to tighten the skin and create a refreshed, youthful-looking neck silhouette.
Although it shouldn’t be considered a replacement treatment for more complex facial plastic surgery, AccuLift RF does offer some of the results you might experience from neck lift surgery without having the incisions and recovery time associated with those traditional procedures. You can expect to see the benefits of AccuLift RF for as long as a decade after your procedure.
How Does AccuLift RF Work?
For more than two decades, Faces has brought some of the latest aesthetic technology to the Jackson, MS area. We love being able to use technology for patients who would rather skip invasive facial plastic surgery procedures or who simply don’t have the time for a lengthier recovery. Acculift RF combines liposuction with the radiofrequency energy of InMode’s Embrace RF device to tighten skin and remove fat at the same time.
During an AccuLift RF procedure, small openings are made by the surgeon in the targeted areas of the neck. These small openings are no bigger than the size of a needle (about 2 mm). Initially, liposuction is performed to remove excess fat, and then the RF probe (called the FaceTite) is inserted into these same small openings and is used to heat the skin. A patient’s neck contours can be ideally sculpted with AccuLift RF, and this procedure also produces skin tightening effects from the heating process. Collagen production is boosted during the healing process to promote ongoing rejuvenation.
What Are the Benefits of AccuLift RF Procedure?
Convenience and the cost of AccuLift RF make it an attractive cosmetic procedure. AccuLift RF is usually completed as an in-office procedure in about 30 minutes to an hour. While AccuLift RF will not produce the same results as a facelift or neck lift, it can be a quick and effective way to look years younger and dramatically reduce excess fat in the neck area.
In general, men and women seek AccuLift RF to improve the appearance of:
- Fatty neck
- Double chin
- Loose skin under the chin
AccuLift RF also produces very little bruising and swelling and has a mild recovery period. Most patients can return to their normal day-to-day routine within a few days. While the benefits of AccuLift RF are long-lasting, the ultimate results may take months to recognize.

AccuLift RF is also a popular touch-up treatment for people who have had a facelift in the past.
We perform AccuLift RF procedures all year long. There is really no better time than another. Many patients choose to have AccuLift RF during the months of January, February, and March as they tend to be months where people are not as socially active.
